Close Support #2 – Fire Against Blinds

stuh42_3A close support unit may use indirect fire against a Blind in an attempt to interdict it.

Interdiction Fire

This is similar to off-table interdiction fire.

  • Nominate the Blind and place an Impact Marker.
  • If firing without a direct LOS make a deviation roll.
  • if the Impact Marker remains on the Blind, the Blind is hit
    • otherwise, the fire misses.
  • If firing with a direct LOS, the Blind is hit automatically.

FP Dice: Use the close support unit’s FP Dice (halved and rounded up).

TN: The unit has a 5+ TN

Blind Reaction Dice: The Blind has 4D Reaction with a 5+ TN as normal.

  • The Blind takes a suppression for each enemy success.

Close Support Interdiction Fire and Hidden Units

The firing player nominates a Blind-sized area of terrain, then follows the procedures above for firing against a Blind. If there are any hidden units within the Blind-sized area, the owning player places a Blind over them and the interdiction fire is resolved against the Blind.
