The Flakpanzer I was developed after the Battle of France to provide mobile anti-aircraft support. It mounts the Flak 38 on the Panzer I chassis.
The Flakpanzer I was used only by the 614th Motorized Flak Battalion. The battalion served in Southern Russian and was destroyed at Stalingrad in 1943.
