The Road to Hannut – German Briefing

You must locate and brush aside the French screen before it can delay the advance in strength. Speed matters. Every halt gives the French more time to organise their main line farther west. You must capture and hold Objectives 1 & 2.

German Battle Group

You are in command of a forward detachment from Aufklärungs-Abteilung 7, reinforced by light tanks from Panzer-Regiment 35.

Objectives

The French hold two objectives generate no Morale until controlled by the you.

Objective 1: The road junction
Objective 2: The western road exit

Controlling an Objective

An objective is controlled when you move a unit onto it and there are no enemy units within 4″ of it. You continue to hold an objective until the enemy moves onto it and there are no friendly units within 4″ of it. Control then passes to the enemy.

At the end of each turn that you control an objective and you do not have Zero Morale, you receive one Morale Point. If you have Zero Morale you suffer a Morale Collapse and the game ends.

Deployment

Your initial forces enter from the eastern table edge. Units may enter under Blinds or already revealed (player choice).

First Command Pulse

The player who rolls the most 6s etc has the first Command Pulse.

Reserves

Turn 3: A Light Panzer Company arrives anywhere along the eastern table edge.

Victory and Defeat

You win a Major Victory by capturing and holding the two Objectives and causing an enemy Morale Collapse.

You win a Minor Victory by causing an enemy Morale Collapse, but without controlling both Objectives.
